This Warranty Policy applies to purchases made through:

1. Manufacturer Warranties

Many products supplied by workfurniture are covered by manufacturer or supplier warranties.

Warranty periods and coverage may vary depending on:

·       the product type

·       the manufacturer or supplier

·       intended commercial or residential use

·       product materials or finishes

Where available, warranty information may be shown on product pages, quotations, proposals, or supplier documentation.


2. What Is Generally Covered

Subject to applicable warranty terms and New Zealand consumer law, warranties generally cover defects in:

·       materials

·       workmanship

·       manufacturing quality

arising during normal intended use within the applicable warranty period.

Where a valid warranty claim is accepted, workfurniture or the relevant supplier/manufacturer may, at their discretion:

·       repair the product

·       replace the product

·       provide replacement parts

·       provide an alternative resolution where appropriate


3. What Is Not Covered

Unless otherwise stated, warranties generally do not cover:

·       normal wear and tear

·       fading, pilling, creasing, or fabric wear from normal use

·       cosmetic damage after delivery

·       misuse or abuse

·       accidental damage

·       improper assembly or installation

·       incorrect use of the product

·       failure to follow care instructions

·       commercial overuse beyond intended application

·       exposure to moisture, weather, or harsh environments where the product is not designed for such use

·       damage caused by cleaning chemicals or unsuitable cleaning methods

·       unauthorised repairs or modifications

·       damage caused by moving or relocation

·       consumable or wear items where applicable


4. Product Variations

Commercial furniture products may contain natural or manufacturing variations.

Minor variations in:

·       timber grain

·       veneer pattern

·       fabric shade

·       texture

·       stitching

·       powder-coat finish

·       dimensions

·       colour appearance

may occur between:

·       samples

·       website imagery

·       supplier photography

·       production batches

·       finished products

These variations do not constitute manufacturing faults or warranty defects.


5. Upholstery & Fabric Finishes

Fabric, upholstery, leather, and surface finishes are subject to normal commercial use and natural wear over time.

Unless otherwise specified by the manufacturer, warranties generally do not cover:

·       fading

·       staining

·       cuts or tears

·       pilling

·       wear from heavy use

·       damage caused by improper cleaning or maintenance

Customers are responsible for following any care or maintenance instructions provided by the supplier or manufacturer.


6. Whiteboards & Specialised Surfaces

Where applicable, whiteboard warranties generally apply to the writing surface only and are subject to the manufacturer’s care and usage instructions.

Damage caused by:

·       permanent markers

·       abrasive cleaning products

·       incorrect cleaning methods

·       misuse

is not covered.

Frames, fittings, and installation-related issues may be excluded unless otherwise specified.


7. Warranty Claim Process

If you believe a product has a defect covered by warranty, please contact workfurniture as soon as reasonably possible.

To assist with assessment, we may request:

·       proof of purchase

·       photographs

·       product details

·       a description of the issue

·       access for inspection where required

Warranty claims may require assessment by the relevant supplier or manufacturer.

workfurniture reserves the right to repair, replace, or otherwise resolve warranty claims in consultation with the supplier or manufacturer.


8. Commercial Use & Care

Many products supplied by workfurniture are designed for commercial environments.

Product longevity and performance may vary depending on:

·       frequency of use

·       environment

·       user weight/load

·       maintenance practices

·       cleaning methods

·       installation conditions

Customers are responsible for ensuring products are suitable for their intended application and environment.


9. Consumer Guarantees Act

Nothing in this policy is intended to exclude or limit any rights available under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or other applicable New Zealand consumer laws where those rights cannot legally be excluded.

Where products or services are supplied for business purposes, and to the extent permitted by law, the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 shall not apply.
